We are a group of curious romantasy readers who like to talk books, learn about the publishing world, and participate in bookish culture.

Our previous reads have included Heartless Hunter, Quicksilver, Anathema, Metal Slinger, and many more.

    Gabriella and the other girls are absolute joys to chat with about books and beyond! It’s always so exciting and cathartic to talk to everyone about stories, new and old, that I’ve been obsessing over. Other than the monthly book meetings, the best sessions are when we revisit past series (e.i. ACOTAR & Empyrean) in anticipation of the next novel or just because we wanted to have some fun!

    I joined Homebody Book Club because I wanted a safe space to talk about the books we love! I enjoy the small group aspect of the meetings so everyone is open to discuss their thoughts without it feeling too overwhelming. Last week we had a new member join the group and she said how nervous she was to start, but was happy she stayed because of how welcoming the chats are.

    Sparked by the need to unpack all of my feelings after reading Metal Slinger, I joined Gabriella's book club in search of clarity and community and was not disappointed. I found a cozy setting where I got to interact with the other participants, share my thoughts, explore theories, and listen to others perspectives. I’m super excited to be a part of this book club and can’t wait to for our next discussion.

FAQ

  • This book club is intended for romantasy lovers who may not have a bookstagram or who may not have a local in-person club.

    Our members take an active role in planning our meetings, and often share recipes inspired by each book.

    We also have a private discord channel that is reserved for dedicated members so that it does not become overwhelming.

  • Gabriella Guava will request suggestions on IG and then post a poll based on the most suggested books.

  • We meet on Zoom on the last Saturday of the month at 3 PM EST.

    The Zoom link is shared on Patreon prior to each meeting.

  • Homebody Book Club is primarily intended as a space for readers to connect with each other and with Gabriella Guava.

    Our small maintenance fee helps offset the cost of our Zoom subscription and website, and supports Gabriella Guava so she can keep creating bookish content.
